HoopFX To Offer Free "Interactive" Tournament Bracket Sheets
March 10, 2006
Interactive Brackets Gives Fans Simple Way to Track Teams
MENLO PARK, CAHoopFX, the innovation leader in Basketball System Accessories, is pleased to announce plans to distribute free “interactive” bracket sheets for both the Men's and Women's 2006 NCAA Division I Basketball Championships. The brackets will not only show the teams, tournament seedings, and game schedules, but also feature text boxes that allow fans to fill in their picks to win for each game directly on their computer and track the action as the tournament progresses. The bracket sheets can be saved, printed, and even sent by email before or after the interactive fields are filled in by the fan. These unique forms will be available for free download through the HoopFX web site here. A current version of Adobe software may be required for full functionality.
HoopFX CEO James Hale says the company encourages free redistribution of the brackets via email, as the brackets are ideal for fans to share the excitement with friends and fellow fans. "We hope our Interactive Bracket Sheets will foster enthusiasm for the tournament and rekindle connections among college alumni, fans, and old classmates who see this as a special opportunity to show their pride and recapture their college memories.
The Men's tournament is scheduled to begin on March 16 and will conclude with the championship game on April 3 in Indianapolis. The Women's tournament is scheduled to begin on March 18 and will conclude with the championship game on April 4 in Boston.
The men's tournament bracket sheet will be available on the evening of Selection Sunday, March 12, shortly after the 65 teams and their regional seeding assignments are announced.
The women's tournament bracket sheet will be available on the evening of Selection Monday, March 13, shortly after the 64 team field and their regional seeding assignments are announced. You can download that here.
